Elizabeth Redhead Kriston, a certified speech-language pathologist, lives in Indiana, PA with her husband, two daughters and rescue pets. While Liz has worked as an Early Interventionist most of her career, her children, profession and love of literature propelled her to pursue her life-long passion of writing. Liz’s writing encompasses both children’s books and non-fiction works.
Additionally, Liz teaches speech-language pathology courses at the undergraduate and graduate level at her alma mater, IUP. Liz expanded her teaching to include providing continuing education to her professional peers and for families looking for ways to improve the literacy and language skills of their children. Liz frequently visits schools, libraries and other community events and venues to share book readings and interactive discussions on writing, literacy and speech-language development.
Other pursuits enjoyed by Liz and her family include cooking, walking or hiking, kayaking, fishing, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family. The hills of Western Pennsylvania offer lots of green space, lakes and rivers for her to explore and enjoy with her husband, Jim and their daughters and dogs.
